Sandpoint Arms & Calguns Foundation will be presenting an 8 hour, multi-state CCW/ Defensive Pistol Class on June 3, 2012 in Morgan Hill, CA.The cost for the course is $175. The training for this class will provide you with the certifications to apply for your Arizona, Florida and Oregon CCW licenses.

SF/South Bay Area multi-state CCW/Defensive Pistol Course

The class is compromised of classroom time as well as range time.
This class is an excellent opportunity for anyone (even if you do not wish to obtain a CCW at this time) who would like to actually receive instruction and be able to shoot after drawing from a holster, shoot while moving, engage multiple targets and use cover and concealment while shooting from different positions.
There are not many places in the Bay area which will allow you to do any of the above. We have explicit permission as an approved instructor to allow this during our classes here.
By obtaining the AZ, FL and OR licenses you will be able to legally carry in 35 states including Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho and New Mexico. These 35 states compromise almost 70% of the US.
Florida & Arizona licenses can be obtained completely via mail. We will be providing the Arizona & Florida carry license application packets and fingerprint cards to all students and will go through the entire process of filling them out during the class.
Oregon must be submitted in person. There is, however, a very pro 2nd amendment Sheriff from Oregon (Sheriff Glen Palmer), who does visit California several times a year and provides CA residents with the opportunity to apply through him without having to visit Oregon. The Oregon license will not gain you any states other than Oregon itself. If you do not plan on visiting Oregon you need not apply for this license.
Required Equipment for the class is as follows:
Handgun (You are encouraged to bring multiple handguns if you own them)
Holster (Strong Side – Inside or Outside the Waistband)
Magazine holder
Magazines (At least two magazines for your handgun)
Eye & Ear Protection
Minimum of 100 rounds of ammo (We should have the opportunity to shoot many more than 100 rounds, but that would be the minimum needed to go through the drills required. Bring as much ammo as you have.)
Lunch (You can bring your lunch or you can purchase lunch at the grill they have at the venue. We will provide water, soda, etc.)
Pen and Paper
Optional, but recommended:
Sunscreen
Hat
Knee Pads
The fees paid directly to the states for the Concealed Carry Licenses you wish to apply for are as follows:
Florida – $117 – 7 years
Arizona – $60 – 5 years
Oregon – $65 – 4 years
